Each time I go back to Constanta, my hometown, it’s sunny almost every day and i never miss the chance to go for walks along the romanian riviera. My last 10 days home were joyful and relaxing and it’s the right time to show you the restless Black Sea on the blog as well, it’s part of my life since i was a child. I enjoyed for the second time this year the sea, and the happyhour with my mom at the harbour even more. The sea is always giving me the freedom feeling .. <3
Built in the first years of the last century thanks to the initiative of Romania’s king, Carol the 1st, the Casino was inaugurated in 1910. A cosmopolite piece of architecture, with many marine inspired decorations, including its almost surreal shell windows facing the Black Sea, the Constanta Casino was for many years a reference point for the rich tourists and gamblers of the time and one of the main attractions of the city. Once a glamorous and iconic symbol of Romania’s modern life, everytime i pass by the Casino it gives me a strange feeling of traveling back through time into the Belle Époque ( French for “Beautiful Era”). Honestly, i always wished i could have lived back in time 🙂
I hope you like it! 🙂 I already miss it!
